The Play Room – Terms & Conditions and Rules of Play
- Children must always be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The Play Room staff are not responsible for direct supervision of children.
- Children should use the toilet and wash their hands before entering the play area.
- Children and parents must read and follow the instructions displayed in each section of the equipment. These conditions apply to all uses within the soft play area and its various sections, including the maximum permitted height and the rules governing the use of the equipment.
- Shoes must be removed before entering the play area, and socks must be worn at all times. If you require assistance, please speak with reception or a member of staff.
- Age restrictions apply in certain play zones to ensure both safety and enjoyment for all children.
- Badges, jewellery, and other valuables should be left with a supervising adult. Glasses are permitted only if fitted with a retainer and shatter-proof lenses.
- Clothing with cords, ropes, or drawstrings is not permitted.
- Please keep slide exits clear and do not play in front of them.
- During peak times, play sessions are limited to 90 minutes.
- We recommend children wear long sleeves and trousers, with clothing securely tucked in.
- Climbing on the netted walls or play structures is not allowed.
- No food, drinks, or chewing gum are permitted in the play area.
- Sharp or dangerous objects must not be taken into the play area.
- Smoking and the use of fire are strictly prohibited anywhere on site. Moreover, putting a lighter, cigarettes, and flammable items on the table
- Children who are unwell should not enter the play area. Patients with COVID-19 or other contagious diseases must not enter.
- Parents/guardians remain fully responsible for the behaviour, safety, and wellbeing of the children in their care at all times.
- Throwing balls or other objects at others is not permitted.
- Fighting, bullying, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone involved may be asked to leave.
- All accidents must be reported to a member of staff so assistance can be given and incidents recorded for safety purposes.
- To help maintain a clean and safe environment, please pick up any dropped food immediately and report spillages to staff.
- Any accidental or deliberate damage to The Play Room property must be reported to staff.
- Please report any behavioural concerns to staff rather than intervening yourself.
- Nappy changing and potty use must be carried out in the designated baby-changing facilities. Please dispose of nappies in the bins provided.
- For health and safety reasons, only food purchased at The Play Room may be consumed on the premises.
- Anyone deemed to be under the influence of intoxicating beverages or illegal substances will be refused entry to the centre and may be reported to the police/local services.
- While our team supervises the play equipment and works to enhance your children’s experience, this does not replace parental supervision. Parents should be aware that although every effort has been made to ensure safety, The Play Room cannot accept responsibility for accidents that occur through normal play.
- Play equipment is strictly for children. Adults may enter only to support or supervise their own children.
- Alcohol is not permitted on the premises. We reserve the right to confiscate
- Management reserves the right to refuse entry.
- Any abusive, aggressive, or sexually inappropriate behaviour towards staff, management, or other visitors, whether from children or adults, will result in zero tolerance, with management reserving the right to impose a permanent ban.
The Play Room – Party Terms & Conditions
- A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking
- All parties run for a duration of 90 minutes.
- The remaining balance must be paid on the day of the party.
- A minimum of 12 children is required to book a party at The Play Room.
- Final numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to your party.
- Cancellations are non-refundable.
- Please refer to the party guidelines included in your confirmation email (In this regard, please also check your spam folder to make sure you don’t miss anything).
